5 Uplifting Books To Celebrate The Human Spirit

As you try to come to terms with the current state of the world and the direction it's going in, you may find your heart becoming heavy, as you take a step back to evaluate and understand how we got here. You may even feel like wrapping yourself up in the heaviest knit blanket you can find and falling into a deep slumber until things get better. I get it. I really do.

But denial has never been the best coping mechanism. Instead, a better approach may be to find solace in the fact that there are good people in the world, performing little acts of kindness in their everyday lives. Acts that turn into ripples, which then transform into big waves of decency, restoring our faith in humanity.

When times get tough, these five books celebrating the human spirit can help serve as small reminders of the tenacity of the human spirit, especially during dark times.
